Sustainability
We will take responsibility for where we send you.
We see Santé as an opportunity to give back into a world that we love so we can continue to enjoy it forever. We aim to net give to the earth, not take.
We're developing a set of clear commitments — from conservation partnerships to responsible operator standards, we will take an ethical, moral approach to sending people to our wild places. We'll publish them here once they're properly formed and we'll report on them as we progress to share our approach, deliver accountability and hopefully set a new industry standard.
Our commitments
1% of every booking
Goes directly to conservation in the region you're visiting. No admin fees, no intermediary. Tracked and published annually.
Carbon audit on every listing
We work with each property to understand and disclose their carbon footprint. It's shown on every listing page.
A better baseline
Fewer towel changes and a tree planted for each visit is nice, but it's not the approach we aspire to. We don't get to pay our way out of damage we cause. Instead, we must protect and nurture the world — both physically and socially.
“Sustainability isn't a filter option on Santé. It's a condition of listing. Every property we show you has committed to measurable, ongoing improvement of their environmental footprint.”
Get involved
The people who love these places should be the ones protecting them.
When you book with Santé, you can choose to go further. We don't wait for conservation projects to be formed by someone else — we lead them ourselves, and we want you with us.
Contribute directly
Opt in at booking to put money directly into a specific area or project — the place you're visiting, or one that needs it most. No overhead, no intermediary, fully transparent.
Join us on the ground
Trail repair, beach clearance, rewilding days — we organise hands-on events in the places our guests travel to, and you're welcome to join. We believe this is what real responsibility looks like: showing up, not just paying up.
Potential projects
All regions
1% for Wild Places
Our core pledge — 1% of every booking goes directly to conservation in the regions our properties operate in.

Environmental report
Our annual accounting of the impact Santé travel creates — and how we're reducing it.
Each year we publish a full environmental report covering: environmental burden generated by stays, offsets verified, fund distribution, and sustainability commitments met and missed. Open, honest and critical. We're here to actually make a change and this can be a force for good — not simply mitigation of bad.
